Browser Extension
What It Does
When you click the SuperClaws extension icon or use the right-click menu, it captures:
- The current URL — so your agent knows which page you're referring to
- The page title — for context about what the page is
- Your selected text — if you've highlighted anything on the page, it's included
- Your instruction — what you want your agent to do with this information
- Page metadata — automatically extracted in the background, including the article's author, description, social-card preview, language, estimated reading time, and any structured data the site publishes. You don't need to do anything to enable this; it gives your agent a richer picture of the page so it can write better summaries, titles, and replies.
Your agent receives these items in its inbox during its next heartbeat and processes them based on your instructions.
Install the Extension
Click the button below to open the SuperClaws extension page in the Chrome Web Store:
Add to ChromeIf you're using Brave, Edge, or another Chromium browser, the button will work the same way — click it and your browser will prompt you to add the extension.
A popup will appear showing what permissions the extension needs. It only needs access to:
- The current tab (to read the URL, title, and selected text)
- Storage (to remember your session)
- SuperClaws domains (to communicate with your dashboard)
Click Add extension to complete the installation.
After installation, you'll see the SuperClaws icon in your browser's extension area. Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome to find it, then click the pin icon next to SuperClaws to keep it always visible in your toolbar.
Sign In to the Extension
The extension uses your existing SuperClaws dashboard session — there's no separate login to manage.
Before using the extension, log in to app.superclaws.io in the same browser. Your session is automatically shared with the extension.
Open any webpage, then click the SuperClaws icon in your toolbar. If you're not signed in, it will prompt you to sign in — just click the button and it will open the dashboard login page.
Configure Your Agent
Before sending content to your agent, designate which agent should receive extension items. There are two equivalent ways to do this:
If you'd rather use the dashboard, follow the steps below.
Visit app.superclaws.io/app/extension/settings in your dashboard.
In the "Designated Extension Agent" section, choose which of your agents should receive items from the extension. If you have multiple agents, this ensures content goes to the right one.
If you don't select an agent, any of your agents may pick up the items — the first one to process them will handle it.
If you want to receive notifications when your agent completes tasks from the extension, enter your Telegram Chat ID in the settings. Get it from @userinfobot on Telegram.
Click "Save Changes" to apply your preferences. Your extension is now ready to use.
Send Tasks to Your Agent
There are two ways to send content to your agent — choose based on how much structure you want to provide.
Agent Action Tab
Use this when you just want to tell your agent what to do — it decides how to handle it.
Quick actions
Above the instruction field, a row of one-click chips fills in the most common requests so you don't have to type them every time. Tap a chip, edit the wording if you like, and press Send. The current set is:
- Summarize — extract the key points from the page
- Add to sheet — file the page into your tracked spreadsheet
- Draft a reply — write a response based on the page
- Create a task — turn the page into a task in your task system
- Save for later — let the agent file it where it belongs
The chip is a starting point — edit the text before sending if you want a more specific instruction.
Save for Agent Tab
Use this when you want to categorise your content with an intent label and optional tags — useful for organised workflows.
The extension includes these intent types:
- Research — Information to investigate or learn from
- To-Do — Action items to complete later
- Idea — Inspiration or concepts to revisit
- Reference — Documentation or resources to keep
- Bug Report — Issues to flag and track
- Question — Topics requiring answers
- Note — General notes and observations
You can also add custom comma-separated tags for additional organisation.
Capture the Page
Open the Capture tab to save a snapshot of the page to your ClawBox and get a public share link in one click. Useful when you want the agent to see exactly what you're looking at, or when you need a sharable URL of a page you don't control.
- Click Capture this page. The extension takes a PNG of the visible part of the tab and uploads it to your ClawBox automatically.
- When it's done, the popup shows a public share link. Click Copy to put it on your clipboard — paste it into Slack, email, or anywhere else.
- Optionally type a note (for example "Use this in tomorrow's report") and click Send to Agent — the agent gets the screenshot URL together with your instruction.
- Click Capture another to take a fresh snapshot.

Right-Click Context Menu
Instead of clicking the extension icon, you can right-click on any selected text, link, or page:
- Highlight text on a page, or right-click while viewing a page
- Select "Send to SuperClaws" from the context menu
- The extension popup opens with the page context already captured
Keyboard Shortcut
You can open the SuperClaws popup from anywhere in the browser with a keyboard shortcut — no need to click the toolbar icon.
- Default shortcut: Alt + X on Windows and Linux, Option + X on macOS.
- The shortcut opens the popup with your current page already captured, exactly as if you had clicked the toolbar icon.
chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your browser, find SuperClaws in the list, and set whatever combination you prefer — or leave it blank to disable it entirely. You don't need to reinstall the extension.
How Your Agent Receives Items
When you send content via the extension, it goes into your agent's inbox — the same system used by Agent Email Inboxes. Your agent automatically polls for new items during its regular heartbeat cycle.
The agent receives:
- The source URL and page title
- Any selected text you included
- Your instruction or notes
- The intent label (if using "Save for Agent")
- Any custom tags you added
Your agent then processes the item based on your instructions, just as it would with any other inbox message.
